Artist Manager

An admin tool for viewing and managing the artist profile raw data used for the A-Z Explorer.

How to Add a New Artist (admin only)

  1. Create two images for the artist (e.g., ArtistName.jpg).
  2. Place the full-size image (1000x667px) in \images\artists\images\.
  3. Place the thumbnail image (300x200px) in \images\artists\thumbs\.
  4. Use the raw data template to draft the new artist entry.
  5. Open artists.js and paste the new object into the originalImagesData array, keeping it alphabetized by filename.

How to Add a New Label/Brand (admin only)

  1. Create a black PNG icon (1000x1000px) and place it in \images\labels\icons\.
  2. If the label is a primary brand (isPrimaryFilter: true), also create a banner image (1000x500px) in \images\labels\images\.
  3. Open labels.js and add a new object to the allLabelsData array.
  4. The 'id' must be unique, lowercase, and use underscores (e.g., my_new_label).

How to Add a New Genre (admin only)

  1. Create a black PNG icon (600x600px) and place it in \images\genres\.
  2. Open genre.js and add a new object to the genreData array (keep it alphabetized by name).
  3. The 'id' and 'name' are typically the same.

How to Add a New Article (admin only)

  1. Place banner and gallery images in the \images\not-music\ folder.
  2. Use placeholder-banner.jpg or placeholder.jpg if no image is available.
  3. The first category tag is the "Primary" tag.
  4. The 'date' (YYYY-MM) is optional and determines order.
  5. Open not-music.js and paste the new object into the wikiData array.
